Economy
...by expanding economic opportunities that are attractive to our youth and to new workers and businesses so they can thrive in communities that offer affordable housing and childcare, quality education institutions, healthy recreation opportunities, and high speed Internet.
Education
...by ensuring affordable and equitable funding for our rural K-12 schools, colleges, technical training programs, and workforce/career development opportunities that lead to local high paying jobs and stable communities.
Housing
...by increasing the quantity and quality of our housing stock with more rentals and home ownership with a balanced approach of respecting the environment, reducing regulatory barriers, and offering economic incentives for new green construction and renovation.
Health Care
...by strengthening our community-based health centers and treatment programs so they attract and retain medical professionals who can provide patients with access to affordable quality care.
Environment
...by respecting and protecting our rural working landscapes, outstanding recreational opportunities, and Vermont traditions; and to increase access to affordable “Green Energy” initiatives that help protect Vermont from the effects of climate change.
Public Safety
...by expanding the capacity of law enforcement and our court systems to address increased crime with appropriate justice and remedial interventions, particularly in response to drug-related offenses.
